TIEMPO / LUGAR

MADRID, SPAIN

2018

Bruno Zevi, Frank Gehry, Frank Lloyd Wright, Mies Van Der Rohe are some of the architects who have reflected on this pair of concepts.

This abundance of reflections places us before one of the great classics of architectural practice: time and place.
In this case, the framework is that of the Boa Mistura workshop of the Master's Degree in “Ephemeral Architectures” at ETSAM, in which an exercise is proposed in a super-accelerated process of just two weeks.

In fact, the exercise did not raise any reflection on these concepts.
The aim is to resolve a mural intervention in a specific space, in this case the Master's classroom hallway.

WORK PROCESS

It is the students who link the workspace to these concepts. They reflect on what this corridor is and can be, and they seek reflections on these concepts. From this, a series of possibilities emerge that are finally reduced to this duo that materializes by intersecting two anamorphisms.

Reflection and practice are intertwined, turning them into the work itself. Reflection connects us with the “PLACE” where we are and the “TIME” with the way of materializing the work. We reflect from the memory of the place and we materialize it according to our time.
